Although we are an east Adelaide medical centre, we provide care for women from all over the metropolitan area and regional South Australia. Many women are happy to travel across the city and beyond because they feel comfortable and at ease in our care, and are confident that we provide them with the right information and options so that they are able to make well informed decisions.

Patients value our friendly, helpful and informed team, and they can count on consistency in the quality of our care from the moment they walk in. This is why many of our patients have been with us over a number of years!

Dr Hanan Maghazaji

Dr Hanan Maghazaji is a highly experienced and professional gynaecologist with over 25 years of experience in the field.

“It has been my privilege to dedicate my life to working as an obstetrician and gynaecologist, as this has enabled me to improve women’s quality of life and share some of their most vulnerable and intimate moments.”

Dr Maghazaji started her life as a young obstetrician and gynaecologist overseas and worked in several developing countries, providing services to women under difficult circumstances. This invaluable experience has been of great assistance to her in her practice in Australia.

Since 2000, Dr Maghazaji has worked in numerous Australian hospitals, initially in Queensland and then in South Australia, and has been involved in teaching and training both undergraduate and postgraduate doctors. Dr Maghazaji decided to establish her private practice “Women’s Health Plus” in 2007 to enable her to deliver comprehensive, compassionate and professional care to women of all ages.

She is committed to listening to her patients’ concerns and discussing all available options for their care, respecting their choices and helping them reach informed decisions.

“To me, providing options for my patients is paramount as I have a great dislike to the one-size-fits-all approach. I respect and understand your individual needs and circumstances, and therefore offer a tailored approach using the latest technology in women’s health.”

Obstetrics and gynaecology are essential parts of all women’s lives, but discussing problems can prove to be an embarrassing experience at times. In order to make it more comfortable, Dr Maghazaji is dedicated to delivering the best advice and treatment in a professional yet friendly manner. You will find her to be down to earth and easy to talk to, always paying great attention to detail and providing genuine care, making her one of the most sought after women’s health specialists in Adelaide.

Since October 2017, Dr Maghazaji has taken the difficult decision to discontinue her obstetric care, and dedicate her time and expertise to helping women with their gynaecological problems.

Dr Maghazaji operates and has admission rights to most of the private hospitals in Adelaide. She is also passionate about teaching and guiding our future doctors and undertakes clinical supervision for medical students.
